La baja contaminación lumínica de Jala convierte al Cerro de la Cruz en un punto privilegiado para fotografía nocturna y observación de estrellas. En noches despejadas es posible apreciar la Vía Láctea sobre el perfil del Ceboruco. Se recomienda acudir en compañía y con equipo de iluminación personal. Acceso libre; consulta condiciones locales de seguridad.
