Diversas rutas de senderismo permiten ascender a los principales cerros de la sierra, con distintos niveles de dificultad. La más popular es el ascenso al Cerro El Centinela. Se recomienda ir muy temprano, llevar agua abundante y protección solar. Consulta condiciones de acceso con el Gobierno del Estado o grupos locales de senderismo.
