Un sendero de dificultad baja-moderada asciende por el flanco del cerro entre pinos y encinos hasta alcanzar el punto más alto con vistas sobre Santa Clara del Cobre y el entorno del lago Zirahuén. El recorrido de ida y vuelta toma aproximadamente 1.5 a 2 horas. Se recomienda calzado adecuado y llevar agua. No requiere guía, aunque es posible contratar uno local.
