El ascenso al Cerro de San Juan es la actividad principal del lugar. Existen varios senderos de diferentes dificultades que atraviesan bosques de pino y encino hasta llegar a la cumbre, desde donde se obtienen vistas panorámicas de la ciudad de Tepic y el estado de Nayarit. Se recomienda llevar agua, ropa de abrigo y calzado de trekking. Consulta las condiciones del camino antes de salir.
