The Bluetones first came to prominence in 1995, when their debut release ‘Are You Blue Or Are You Blind’ broke into the Top 40. The single proved to be the launching pad for a run that saw 14 hit singles and 6 albums follow on from it. From thereon, the band, made up of brothers Mark & Scott Morriss alongside Adam Devlin and Eds Chesters, enjoyed considerable UK and Ireland successes, extending out across into Europe and Japan, before taking a hiatus in 2011 that lasted for 4 years. Since then they have re-established themselves as one of the UK’s most consistently entertaining live acts, regularly touring their extensive catalogue to their army of devoted fans. 2024 will see the release of the first new Bluetones material in 14 years, and promises to be as exciting a year for the group as they’ve ever enjoyed. A renaissance that will see the four original band members take in the summer festivals before a full UK tour in the autumn/winter of 2024.“… add to that Mark’s unique voice, the requisite melodies and soaring guitars and you could also make reference to several classic West Coast USA artists and beyond.” – Louder Than War The Bluetones Acoustic show is two members of Brit Pop legends The Bluetones, for special acoustic performances of the band’s classics. Mark Morriss and Adam Devlin have spent the best part of 3 decades honing their craft as a live performers, with 6 Bluetones albums under their belts including 14 Top 40 singles. This line up has recently completed a near sold out tour of the UK, with a follow up later this year already in the pipeline, before Mark & Adam take it to Ireland and Scandinavia next year. It is 2 hours of music interspersed with the banter and story-telling of two musicians who have been working together successfully for over 30 years. Later this year The Bluetones take the full band on their first tour since pre-pandemic times. “… brilliant as always, great music and as always very engaging with the audience. Tipperary, known for guitar-driven anthems that blend darkness, hope and redemption. Inspired by the legendary Féile concerts of the 90s in their hometown, they’ve built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most exciting live acts, performing at festivals such as Sea Sessions, Electric Picnic, and supporting the likes of Cast, The Stunning and Aslan.
