El mercado de Tlapa es uno de los más importantes de la Montaña de Guerrero, con presencia de vendedores mixtecas, nahuas y tlapanecos. Se encuentran productos frescos, gastronomía regional (tlayudas, tamales, mole negro) y artesanías. Activo prácticamente todos los días; mayor actividad los días de tianguis, consulta el sitio oficial del municipio.
