Desde el estacionamiento principal se puede ascender caminando hasta el cráter para contemplar las lagunas del Sol y la Luna a más de 4,200 msnm. El recorrido de ida y vuelta toma entre 2 y 4 horas dependiendo del ritmo. Se cobra una cuota de acceso al Área Natural Protegida; consulta tarifas y condiciones en el sitio oficial.
