Support: Die weiteren Aussichten To Kill A King, Indies best kept secret, modern folk storytellers who those in the know have given the double edged title of most underrated band. They have released 3 studio albums along with many Eps and Live Lps to critical acclaim. After ten years of sell out shows, headlining KOKO, Shepherd’s Bush, Islington Assembly Hall and supporting the likes of Frank Turner, Bastille, The Flaming Lips across UK, Europe and the USA, even stepping onto the stage at the Royal Albert Hall, the band took a hiatus just as covid struck. 5 years later they are back with their 4th and final Studio Album presented in two halves: The King is Dead and Long Live the King. Recorded across 2023 and 2024 in Cornwall and London, it includes various musician friends from Bastille, Keston Cobblers Club and Fours, lending their talents on various songs. During the hiatus, lead singer Ralph Pelleymounter has been writing for other artists. This includes co-writing Bastille’s title track to their number one album Give Me the Future and Family Ties that appeared in the trailer to Disney’s Strange World and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3. He’s also penned Rag’N’Bone Man’s ballad Perfume and his score to the film Eugene Vs Humanity won Best Original Score at the IndieX film festival. He is currently working with the Curve Theatre Leicester on a new Musical venture. “This new record is all about change, growing up and how you deal with the challenges life can throw at you. Since Covid and our break, so much has happened. The band is spread around the country now and people are married with kids or have left the country altogether. It feels like a lot of big life moments happened during those 5 years and I think the record has absorbed a lot of them. Sonically it’s more of a return to our roots, closer to our first album Cannibals with Cutlery, less synths, just a bunch of musicians in a room. We feel so lucky to have been able to make this record with friends, your never sure how many more records you’ll get to be able to make” “I am so excited to play these last shows in Germany before we put these songs to Bed.
