Al estar rodeada completamente por el lago, la isla es un excelente punto de observación de aves acuáticas como pelícanos blancos americanos, garzas morenas, patos y cormoranes, especialmente en temporada de migración (octubre-marzo). Se recomienda llevar binoculares para una mejor experiencia.
