Sunday, October 18CANTO DA EMA
Dois Dobrado at Canto da Ema comes to CANTO DA EMA in São Paulo. Dois Dobrado plays lively forró so nobody stays still. Formed by Marcelo Lima (vocals and triangle), Jonas Virgulino (vocals and accordion), Jorge Silva (vocals and cavaquinho) and Will Nascimento (vocals and zabumba), it brings the essence of Luiz Gonzaga in a modern and dynamic language. The band has been winning admirers and fans wherever it goes. The mix of influences such as rock, choro, classical music and, of course, forró, are the ingredients of this contagious recipe. All done with accordion, triangle, zabumba and cavaquinho. The repertoire features original songs and works by other musicians ranging from Luiz Gonzaga, Jackson do Pandeiro, Dominguinhos, Marinês, Genival Lacerda and other great names in forró and Brazilian music.
