Considera sus maestros a artistas como: Rubén Blades, Carlos Vives, Beck, Seal, Miguel Bosé, Phoenix, Soda Stereo... y tiene innumerables discos de oro y varios Grammys latinos.Entre sus trabajos más celebrados estuvieron 'Ilusión' que fue 'disco diamante' y el quinto álbum, 'Conexión' cuatro veces platino situándose número uno en Colombia y Perú, '2' en Estados Unidos y dentro del Top 10 en Panamá, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Ecuador y Guatemala. Tamabaién recibió el Latin Grammy de 'Mejor Canción Tropical' por 'Vine a Buscarte'.
