Home Sweet Home: Greater Houston Subdivisions and Neighborhoods comes to Houston Public Library – Central in Houston. In 1836, brothers Augustus Chapman and John Kirby Allen founded the town of Houston at the confluence of Buffalo Bayou and White Oak Bayou.
