El cerro conserva parches de vegetación nativa con cactáceas, copal, tepame y diversas especies de aves y reptiles propias del occidente de México. Durante la temporada de lluvias (junio-octubre) la vegetación se cubre de verde y florece con intensidad. Actividad recomendada para naturalistas y fotógrafos de naturaleza.
