El zoológico del parque alberga una colonia de flamingos rosados, ave símbolo del estado de Yucatán, además de tucanes, loros y otras especies tropicales. La laguna artificial también atrae aves silvestres urbanas. Es una oportunidad accesible y gratuita para introducir a niños y adultos al mundo de la ornitología sin salir de la ciudad.
