La selva baja caducifolia del parque alberga diversas especies de aves yucatecas como el loro yucateco, la chachalaca y el cardenal. Los senderos temprano en la mañana son el mejor momento para el avistamiento. Se recomienda llevar binoculares y guía de campo. La entrada al sitio arqueológico incluye el acceso a estas zonas naturales.
