Los flujos de lava del Paricutín sepultaron en 1944 al pueblo de San Juan Parangaricutiro, dejando emergir solo las torres y el altar de su iglesia. Hoy es un paisaje surrealista y muy fotografiado. Se accede en el mismo recorrido hacia el volcán, con guía local. Consulta tarifas en la entrada del poblado de Angahuan.
