The Overmountain Men fought at the battle of Kings Mountain, and like the Minute Men from the north, these men were part of the local militia. Ready to respond when called. Find out what it took to be a part of the militia and walk through drill that was associated with muster. Program presented at the Museum of North Carolina Minerals - Parkway milepost 331. Leave time in your schedule to take a stroll out along a section of the Overmountain Victory National HIstoric Trail. As you hike, consider what might these men have thought about on their way to the battle or felt about their accomplishments and impact years afterwards?
