Algunas zonas de la reserva permiten acampar bajo autorización de la CONANP, con lo que se puede observar fauna nocturna como murciélagos, búhos y mamíferos. La oscuridad de la selva también permite apreciación astronómica de alto nivel. Requiere permisos y coordinación con la administración de la reserva.
