Los pescadores purépechas utilizan las icónicas redes mariposa (chiamicha) para pescar desde sus canoas al amanecer. Esta práctica ancestral, reconocida mundialmente, puede observarse desde la orilla o en lancha en las primeras horas del día. No requiere pago de entrada para observar desde el malecón; el respeto a los pescadores es esencial.
