La caminata desde el centro histórico hasta el mirador dura aproximadamente 20-30 minutos por caminos y veredas empedradas. Desde la cima se obtiene una vista panorámica inigualable de la Parroquia, el centro histórico y la campiña guanajuatense. Se recomienda ir por la mañana o al atardecer.
