Join us this summer as we take advantage of the warmer weather and offer a FREE series of live music on our patio - afternoon jazz, grooves and more. Music will start at 4pm each evening, Union will be open to serve up pizza starting at 4:30pm, and well have drink specials flowing! So come on by and check one (or all of them) out.__________Alta Vista is a genre-bending instrumental trio comprised of Los Angeles bassist Jakob Heinemann (Dave Rempis, Roscoe Mitchell, Mike Reed) plus Chicago musicians Andy Danstrom (Joe Policastro Trio, You Are The Garden) on drums and Chet Zenor (Whitney, Hannah Frances, Squirrel Flower) on guitar. The groups sound and dynamic gleefully put their plethora of influences in a blender, resulting in a blend of American kitsch and frenetic improvisations with an anarchic ethos. Alta Vistas debut, self-titled record came out in 2023 via Ruination Record Co, consisting of interpretations of ten mostly unrecorded and unknown country-folk songs from the 1920s. It was followed last year with their sophomore effort Wont Believe in Dust, an album of original songs.
