El cerro ofrece senderos de dificultad variada a través de bosques de niebla con helechos arbóreos, bromelias y orquídeas. La caminata hacia la cima regala vistas panorámicas sobre Tepic y la costa nayarita. Se recomienda guía local, ropa impermeable y llevar agua; consulta el acceso y condiciones con la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente de Nayarit.
