The Broward Center has been selected by Musical Theater International (MTI) to produce the first ever pilot production of The Heart of Rock and Roll JR. Our students will be among the first in the country to perform this brand-new JR version of the Broadway musical prior to its official release. Feel the power of love in this jukebox musical featuring the songs of the legendary pop rock band Huey Lewis and the News. The Heart of Rock and Roll is a smart, funny, heartfelt throwback to the era of big feelings, classic rom-coms. Set in 1987 and jam-packed with Huey Lewis' megahits such as "Do You Believe in Love," "Hip to Be Square" and "If This Is It.," Get your tickets now for The Heart of Rock and Roll JR today and learn why it's "Hip to be Square". The Skywalk elevator in the A&E Parking Garage is currently under renovation. For accessible entry to the Broward Center, cross NW 2nd Street and follow the accessible signs to the lower entry doors. From garage levels 2 and 3, take the elevator to the ground floor and proceed to the lower entry doors. Passenger drop off at the top of the valet ramp is also available, with early arrival encouraged for use.
