Chalacatepec es un campamento tortuguero activo donde se protegen nidos de tortuga laúd y golfina. Durante la temporada (principalmente julio-enero) es posible participar en recorridos nocturnos para presenciar desoves o liberaciones de crías con guías especializados. Consulta operadores locales o el sitio oficial de la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente de Jalisco para fechas y modalidades de participación.
