Con más de 300 especies de aves registradas, Tommy Thompson Park es considerado uno de los mejores puntos de birding de Ontario. En primavera y otoño las migraciones son espectaculares; se pueden ver cormoranes, garzas, águilas pescadoras y colibríes.
