During the late 19th and early 20th century, 30-foot long launch boats traveled the canal for leisure and business, contrasting greatly with the 90 foot mule-drawn cargo boats that usually dominated the canal. Tours are limited to 10 people. Tickets are first come, first served, day of tour. Ticket sign-up opens at the visitor center one hour prior to start of tour. Tickets cannot be reserved in advanced. The tour lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. Tour Times: 10:00 AM, 11:30AM, 1:00PM, 2:30PM. *Animals are not allowed with the exception of service animals. Inclement weather, including high winds, rain, and extreme heat may cause tours to be cancelled.
