About the event

Además de los flamencos, la reserva alberga más de 300 especies de aves registradas, incluyendo espátulas rosadas, jabirus, cigüeñas, rabijuncos y múltiples especies migratorias de Norteamérica. Es considerado uno de los mejores sitios de birdwatching de la Península de Yucatán. Se recomienda visitar al amanecer acompañado de un guía local certificado.
