La selva baja que rodea Uxmal es hogar de tucanes, pavos ocelados, loros yucatecos, trogones y múltiples especies migratorias. Los senderos de la zona permiten combinar la visita arqueológica con la observación de aves tropicales. Se recomienda acudir al amanecer con binoculares. El acceso está incluido con la entrada general al sitio.
