Sobre el evento

CircleSing! comes to Studio Yoga SP in São Paulo. Improvisational artists André Moraes and Edu SattaJah invite Beatriz Tomaz and Noga Ritter for three uninterrupted hours of lots of music, singing and body percussion. The "circlesong" is a music creation game learned from master Bobby McFerrin and the Circle of Music, which transforms the group into a large spontaneous choir. Just follow the leader's guidance at the center of the circle — no prior knowledge is necessary, nor mastery of sheet music reading. Come ready to sing, move your whole body and immerse yourself in music. Edu Sattajah - Member of the Black Voices acapella group, of the improvisation duo "Kantú" and the solo vocal project "Native Soul Man". Was founder and ideator of the band "Lions of Israel", toured countries such as England, Jamaica, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and accompanied great icons of world reggae such as: The Skatalites, Marcia Griffiths, Gregory Isaacs, among others. Studied in New York 2019 (Omega Institute - USA) and California 2022 (Circlesong School - USA) with singer and master Bobby McFerrin. André Moraes - Composer, educator and music producer, teaches at ETEC of Arts and at the Souza Lima Conservatory. Author of soundtracks for various dance performances, worked at the Municipal Theater Foundation, Free School of Dance in Santo André, Núcleo Luz and São Paulo School of Dance. Researches the body-music relationship, in addition to producing and arranging for various artists. Sings and percusses the body in the Circle of Music community since 2013 and studied body percussion with André Hosoi and Fernando Barba. Special guests: Noga Ritter - is a singer and songwriter based in London whose music mixes jazz with global influences, shaped by her travels to Senegal and Brazil, her upbringing in the Middle East and her life in multicultural London. Noga launched her debut solo album "IMA" in 2023, with collaborations from Seckou Keita, Byron Wallen and Tony Kofi. In 2025, she released the duo EP "Embrace Me" with Bjorn Wray-Gough. Currently, Noga is recording a new album in Brazil at Guga Stroeter's studio, with a group of award-winning musicians, including Oran Etkin, Ari Colares and Luiz Maranhão. She also recently collaborated with Brazilian icon Chico César on a song that calls for peace and the end of genocide in Gaza. Beatriz Tomaz - is a singer, composer, anthroposophical singing therapist and voice researcher and co-founder of Sonora Roda – Circle of Music, led by women. Her artistic trajectory and work as a group conductor is marked by the investigation of relationships between voice, movement, improvisation and the development of musicality in an intuitive, collaborative and creative way. In 2019, she launched her first album, D'aguera, in partnership with Ricardo Radik. Part of the Magnificent Orchestra of World Music, dedicated to research and dissemination of music from different cultures, and currently presents 'Between seas and backlands', a show that connects Brazilian music to sounds from the Middle East, Mediterranean, Iberian Peninsula. This meeting is unmissable! Come in comfortable clothes and bring your water bottle.
