For the Sake of Art – Exhibition at the Vuosaari Artists’ House comes to Vuosaari House in Helsinki. This exhibition features a diverse selection of works by residents of the artists’ residence. Helsinki’s 450th-anniversary artists’ residence was completed in 2003 in Aurinkolahti, Vuosaari, and a large group of professionals from various artistic fields moved in. Over the years, the building has become a significant community for many of its residents, enabling them to focus on creative work and interaction. Some of the artists featured in the Vuosaari House exhibition have been enjoying the scenery of Vuosaari ever since the building was completed, while others are newcomers. The exhibition has been curated by Aino Favén, Tiina Karhu and Anna Wilhelmus. The exhibition is part of the ‘Vuosaari-seura 60 Years’ event.
