Sonorities - The Headcutters comes to Centro Histórico-Cultural Santa Casa in Porto Alegre. Important notice! Free tickets withdrawn via Sympla are valid until 15 minutes before the show. After that time, unused reservations are cancelled and the seats are made available to the public without tickets, on a first-come, first-served basis. About: The Headcutters entered the history of world blues by becoming the first Brazilian band to win the Living Blues Awards, elected by vote in the Best Blues Album category in 2025 with Bob Is Back! The award, promoted by the traditional North American magazine Living Blues, considered one of the most respected publications in the genre, represents one of the highest international recognitions dedicated to Blues. Formed in Itajaí (SC), the band built, over more than two decades, a trajectory based on commitment to the authentic sound of Chicago Blues. Today, it is internationally recognized for its work and also for being the only band outside the United States to be part of the historic Delmark Records roster, the legendary Chicago label responsible for some of the most important albums in Blues history. Formed by Joe Marhofer (harmonica and vocals), Ricardo Maca (guitar and vocals), Arthur Catuto (upright bass and vocals) and Leandro Cavera (drums), The Headcutters have released seven albums and two DVDs, toured throughout the United States and South America and shared the stage with historic names such as Bob Stroger, James Wheeler, Billy Branch, Willie Buck, Eddie C. Campbell, Rip Lee Pryor and Kenny Smith. The partnership with legendary bassist Bob Stroger resulted in the albums That's My Name (2022) and Bob Is Back! (2025), both released by Delmark Records. The first reached second place on the Living Blues Radio Chart and was nominated for the Blues Blast Music Awards. Bob Is Back! received widespread acclaim from specialized critics and won the Living Blues Awards, consolidating The Headcutters among the main representatives of traditional Blues produced outside the United States. On stage, The Headcutters delivers much more than a Blues show. Its presentation is the result of decades of living with some of the greatest masters of the genre and deep immersion in Chicago Blues culture, offering the audience an authentic, intense experience true to the roots of this musical tradition.
