Compositions: An Evening Of Katie Jenkins takes the stage at Balboa Theatre in San Diego. Featuring Katie Jenkins. Pointeworks presents COMPOSITIONS: An Evening of Katie Jenkins, a celebration of Resident Composer Katie Jenkins featuring three original ballet commissions performed with live music. Curated by Artistic Director Sophie Williams, the evening brings together an international cast of world-class artists for a program dedicated entirely to female voices in both choreography and composition. The program features the return of Laine Habony's Chasing Shadows, a striking piano solo work, alongside Jacquelyn Long's Moving Forces for six dancers, piano, and violin. The evening culminates in a world premiere by acclaimed choreographer Hélène Simoneau, featuring a soaring new score for live string quartet. When: Sunday, October 18, 7:30 pm, at Balboa Theatre (868 Fourth Avenue, San Diego).
